Marble baths

The building of Marble Baths is the most representative of all the buildings of the spa complex. It was built in 1886, after Dependence and Kurhotel accommodation buildings. It was used for bathing and therapies but only for distinguished gentlemen and ladies who could afford this special bath. The whole building looks like a classicist temple with an arcade porch and mythological creatures on the pediment. The name itself testifies to the sumptuous equipment of the building in which the bathtubs and bathroom floors were made of quality marble. There was a reading room in the building with 25 newspapers and magazines in 5 different languages. Two separate high podiums were reserved for music therapy during bathing. Marble baths represent a high level of baths from the 19th century and at that time they could be compared with the most famous European spas (Baden Baden, Karlovy Vary). After the restoration and reconstruction in 2006, the building got back its historical internal and external look.

Today, hydrotherapy with thermal water is conducted in the building (underwater massage, pearl baths, and five of the bathtubs were kept in their original, historical shape). Individual baths are performed in the original marble bathtubs. The special offer of Lipik Spa is the Count and Countess’s bath, which we highly recommend.
