Kutjevo Castle

Kutjevo castle is a protected monument of architectural heritage and it belongs to the most beautiful monuments of the rich cultural heritage of this part of Slavonia and Croatia. Today’s castle is part of the former Jesuit complex that consisted of a monastery church, a residence (later a castle), and buildings and gardens, and it was built on the remains of the Cistercian Abbey. Judging by the age of decorative trees, the park was created at the beginning of the 19th century. It is interesting to mention that the park is a protected monument of garden architecture with a few especially valuable tree species.
