Jelka’s path

Every destination has its center for gathering and Lipik planned to become big a long time ago. The unique park in Lipik was created by comparison with great European cities. The park attracted many tourists by slowly creating alleys and parts of the park and making each corner interesting. Throughout history, many pathways and benches had been used by the owners of the park, citizens, and guests, and the trees and leaves had made many stories mysterious with their sounds. To show you how special Lipik and the historical park are, we have revealed their stories on “Jelka’s path”. The starting point is on the main street and it crosses the park. The story has been told on 24 information panels in both the Croatian and English languages.

At the beginning of the story in Maria Theresia Street, get to know Lipik on a big info panel. A few meters further starts the story about history with thematic verses and details about particular locations. In those places, the story about the vegetative world for which the park is known, the decoration of the park, local landmarks, and historical buildings was told. The pathway circles Lipik Spa through the entire park. Each panel has a route plan so that you can move around the park on your own, relax and step into the part of history we are all connected to.
